It feels good to be finishing up some projects! Maybe that WIP Wednesday really works!
This is a top I made a couple of years ago. My granddaughter loved it when she saw it this Summer and that's all the motivation I needed to finish it up. It will travel to California soon!
The fabric is an organic line called Free to Grow by Nancy Mims. Seems the quintessential quilt for a four (almost five) year-old.
I think the pattern is a Fig Tree, although I can't find it on their website. I borrowed it from a friend ~ maybe she'll tell us in the comments.
The quilting seemed effortless on this one. I stippled the sashing, and quilted each block with a whimsical spiral or floral design.
I love a striped binding on the diagonal and this line had a great one!
And I had to share my Beautyberry bush. It's purple berries are so gorgeous this time of year. I love the fact that they look almost fake ~ and consequently left untouched by the birds. . . . Cindy
